When there are a lot of these symptoms to list, you should start with the symptom that is bothering you the most. You can work your way down the list with that in mind.

When you are listing the symptoms, you should be as specific as you can about it. Take note of when the said symptoms become worse, if they bother you when sitting, standing, or lying down, how intense the pain is, if it is sharp or throbbing, and many others. These are symptoms can help the therapist evaluate the problem accurately.

You must bring your goals. This means you have to tell the therapist about what your goals are for getting this treatment. When you explain the goals you have, the therapist can do their job better. They can pursue an end result according to your goal. Your goal might be reducing pain, avoiding surgery, or increasing mobility.

Your medical history should be revealed to the therapist. Knowing the medical history of the patient will allow the said therapist to know more about what your symptoms are actually for. List all of the chronic conditions you have as well as injuries and accidents you experienced. Environmental factors such as prolonged sitting and standing at work might worsen these symptoms so note of that as well.

Meds are important in keeping you healthy. When you are ingesting these meds, better list them all beforehand. You will be giving the list to the therapist. Of course, the list for the meds should cover the prescription drugs as well as the over-the-counter drugs. Not only these ones, supplements and vitamins should be listed too.

You might have reports received from labs or diagnostics. If you have these reports, then you should show them to your therapist as well. The therapist should be able to read through the reports. They are health care professionals as well so they should be able to understand it. The reports will be beneficial for them.

You better list the names and contact information of the physicians and other health care professionals you have gone to. They can contact these professionals when necessary. Moreover, this is the best way for you to keep the said professionals informed about the progress for the said treatment.

It is recommended that you go to the said treatment dressed properly. You have to dress with movement in mind. There are therapist who will want to get the said program started, even if this is the first time you have met.
