Samadi is a board certified urologic oncologist who has wide training in open traditional and laparoscopic surgery. He was born in an Iranian community to parents with a Jewish-Iranian ethnicity. The doctor spent early years of his life in Iran up until the Iranian Revolution when he moved to Europe with his younger brother. David Samadi later settled in Belgium before moving on to the state of New York in the US.

Owing to his mobile life during his tender age, he schooled in Belgium, London, and the US. However, after moving to the US, he settled in New York, where he has spent most of his life ever since. The number of successful robotic prostate surgeries that Samadi is credited with is over six thousand. His current success rate is 89%. An equal percentage of patients walk away cancer free after operation too. Most patients are also able to regain sexual functionality only after a year of being operated.
